False Solomon's Seal - Maianthemum racemosum

The flowers were not yet in bloom, but when they are, they will be white, starlike flowers in a dense, branching cluster on top of a zigzag stem. The leaves are oval and alternating.

Spotted in a rich, swampy deciduous forest.

"Maianthemum racemosum" is a species of flowering plant native to North America. It is a common, widespread plant known from every US state except Hawaii, and from every Canadian province and territory except Nunavut, as well as from Mexico.
