Female White-bellied Woodstar in flight, Jardin, Colombia

Fairly small hummingbird at about 7cm. An example where I find the female of a bird species much more beautiful than the male, which is fairly dull with this species.

The white-bellied woodstar is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and heavily degraded former forest.
