  1. Cute! It has at least 3 ants on it! Wonder why? Posted 7 years ago
    1. hahaha ...probably skin's smell of the frog attracting ants to come n the frog will then eat them. I'm not sure. Posted 7 years ago
      1. Haha, maybe! I just read some interesting things - some frogs eat ants and then are able to transfer any chemicals the ants contained for their own protection; Also, some frogs have secretions to protect themselves from ant bites. Pretty cool. Posted 7 years ago
  2. It looks like a toad rather than frog. In India we have common toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus) which looks similar to this one. Posted 7 years ago
    1. Actually it is! That is why another common name for it is the Javanese Toad as it is also found in Java. Posted 4 years ago

"Duttaphrynus melanostictus" is commonly called Asian common toad, Asian black-spined toad, Asian toad, black-spectacled toad, common Sunda toad, and Javanese toad. It is probably a complex of more than one true toad species that is widely distributed in South and Southeast Asia.
