Brown Water Snake (Nerodia taxispilota)

The brown water snake is a large species of nonvenomous natricine snake endemic to the southeastern United States. ''Lycodonomorphus rufulus'' is sometimes also called the brown water snake, but ''L. rufulus'' is found in South Africa.
