    1. I thought so too! I was wondering if it had eaten something or if it is pregnant? Note the lumps throughout the body (particularly towards the posterior). Posted 7 years ago
      1. Interesting! Do they look plump when they have eggs in them? I have no idea, but the timing would be good for egg laying. Either that, or it just had a yummy meal. Did you know that these snakes will charge at people to scare them off? Posted 7 years ago

''Coluber constrictor'' is a species of nonvenomous snake in the family Colubridae. The species is endemic to North America and Central America. Eleven subspecies, including the nominotypical subspecies, are recognized, which as a group are commonly referred to as the eastern racers.
