Three-lined Hoplia
This fuzzy monkey beetle was quite the beauty. I think it is a female as it was brown with brown and yellow scales - males are black with gray pubescence. These beetles have three-segmented, clubbed antennae and fantastically distinct mesotarsal claws.
I found it on the side of a river where it was admiring the sycamore trees.

''Hoplia trifasciata'', the three lined hoplium, is a species of scarab beetle in the family Scarabaeidae. It is found in North America.
