  1. Love this one! It must feel so much better after molting. Posted 7 years ago
    1. Yes :o) But also very vulnerable ;o) Posted 7 years ago
      1. So true. I used to rear cockroaches for educational purposes and found them to be very docile and so endlessly fascinating. Posted 7 years ago
        1. I have some large exotic roaches here at the moment, and these are quite okay yo handle, but the wild living Ectobiidae are impossible to handle or photograph. I can only ever get pictures with an assistant on the side to quickly catch the critter when it takes off like a torpedo while I'm looking for it through the camera *rolleyes* Posted 7 years ago
          1. Mine were Madagascar hissing cockroaches...occasionally one would get loose and panic in the department would ensue as most people are quite afraid of insects they deem "scary" or "ugly". They sure can move though, and I imagine your assistant needs to have very fast reflexes ;P Posted 7 years ago
            1. Yes, I also have a culture of Gromphadorhina at the moment (for an exhibition) and some dubia - these are what I would classify a "sluggish and docile" ;o) The small Ectobiidae jump and twist and turn and race about ... pure ADHD ;o) Posted 7 years ago
