Some closing thoughts on Uraba...
This was the most daring location of our trip, as this area had only recently be cleared as safe enough for travel, with still the occasional incident happening. We faced no safety issues though, other than a single meeting with illegal gold miners in the forest.
In terms of wildlife, together with Montezuma it ranks as #1 for us, both are on equal footing. Uraba gave us many surprises across categories, in birds, amphibians, snakes, and great highlights such as seeing a raptor migration and finding the Andinobates victimatus poison frog, which is new to science. The whole experience was guided by awesome people, including our general guide Manuel and the crazy Band Brothers.
The next and final location is Jardin, a much colder location in a cloud forest habitat.

The russet-throated puffbird is a near-passerine bird which breeds in tropical South America in northeastern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela. It is commonly named in Colombia as ''Bobito'', ''Utta'', ''Tol'' and ''Coludo''.
The puffbirds are an insectivorous bird family related to the jacamars, but lacking the iridescent colours of that group. The russet-throated puffbird is fairly common in dry scrub and dry forest. It excavates a burrow in an arboreal termite colony and lays three.. more
