Raccoon Scat - Procyon lotor An amorphic blob of raccoon scat. Raccoons are omnivores, and their scat can have no defined shape if their diet is rich in meat or fruits/nuts/seeds. In this scat, you can see the fruit seeds and nuts.

As a side note - no one should touch, smell, or taste (duh, I know) animal scat! Use a stick as a poop probe or wear gloves if you are going to touch it. Raccoon scat in particular can contain the larvae of parasitic roundworms, which can actually be inhaled. These roundworms can cause serious illness in humans.
