
Brown Falcon
This alert creature is one of several birds of prey that are common in the Werribee wetlands. There is ample food available as there are several hundred thousand bird in the pondage, many of these resident and many are migratory. Werribee wetlands is a bird haven with about 300 species recorded.

The Brown Falcon , also known as the Brown Hawk, is a member of the falcon genus found in the drier regions of Australia. Its specific name ''berigora'' is derived from an aboriginal name for the bird.
