Pebas Stubfoot Toad (Atelopus spumarius barbotini) This lowland species of harlequin frog or stubfoot toad, Atelopus spumarius barbotini, is found in the forests of the Guianan shield.  Many species of Atelopus have declined or gone extinct in recent years.  This individual was photographed at the Atlanta Botanical Garden (2007) in a conservation breeding program. The Pebas stubfoot toad is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family.
It is native to Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru and Suriname.
