Blue Cohosh
This plant has yellow-green flowers, blue berry-like fruits, and bluish-purple foliage. It has been used medicinally for ages, especially to induce labor. Although, the safety of this plant is seriously questioned and it is not generally regarded as a safe supplement.
Blue cohosh has effects similar to the hormone estrogen. It also narrows the vessels that carry blood to the heart, which can decrease oxygen in the heart.

''Caulophyllum thalictroides'', the blue cohosh, a species of ''Caulophyllum'' , also called squaw root or papoose root, is a flowering plant in the Berberidaceae family. It is a medium-tall perennial with blue berry-like fruits and bluish-green foliage.
