    1. Thanks! I took over 100 shots just trying to get one in reasonable focus and not blown out. I changed so many camera settings and let the profanities fly as I kept trying. I always struggle with white subjects, and being tiny doesn't help! Posted 7 years ago
      1. Can imagine, quite similar to the frustration I had with the tiny orchids.
        This doesn't help you right now, but I want to show you a feature that one will increasingly find on future cameras, and a few cameras right now:

        This is focus peaking. A 3D overlay in red shows in the scene exactly the plane that is in focus. I have it on my camera now, but unfortunately not in the viewfinder, only on the LCD, which doesn't help in a handheld situation.
