  1. Beautiful series of ducks, Jivko!
    Isn't this a Green-winged teal?

  2. Sorry, Jivko, have removed the ID as I believe it is wrong. Spatula querquedula is described as the male have a white stripe, not a green one. This is consistent with all reference images I'm seeing.

Let me know if I'm wrong. What do you think of the suggested Green-winged teal?

    1. Hi Ferdy, i have replaced the IDs of the two species I added recently. This is Anas crecca, and the one I have identified as A.crecca is in fact Spatula querquedula. In any case, this one is not A.carolensis. Posted 7 years ago, modified 7 years ago

The Eurasian Teal or Common Teal is a common and widespread duck which breeds in temperate Eurasia and migrates south in winter. The Eurasian Teal is often called simply the Teal due to being the only one of these small dabbling ducks in much of its range. The bird gives its name to the blue-green colour teal.
