Virginiana Clearwing (Hyposcada virginiana), Uraba, Colombia No time to switch to macro, so a quick and sloppy shot with the tele. I'd normally not be motivated to share a poor shot like this, let alone spending time to identify it. I'm learning to persist though, as it often pays off. For example, in this case I had not expected this to be a clearwing. This is likely the virginiana virginiana sub species.   1. Interesting that it appears to only have 4 legs. Maybe due to DOF, but more likely I’d guess the other 2 legs are reduced or vestigial. Posted 7 years ago
