Duck Meets Fox, Fox Eats Duck The remains (mostly feathers) of an unfortunate Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) that did not survive its encounter with a hungry fox. The feathers were located right next to a fox latrine, which was next to a pond. Wood ducks often frequent this pond, and I recently spotted some nesting underneath a bird blind where they will hopefully be safe from the foxes.
