Spring Azure This species is seasonally variable, sexually dimorphic, and is probably actually a complex of 4-5 different species.<br />

The dorsal surface of the wings was a beautiful blue color, and the ventral surface was gray-white with blackish brown spots, blotches, and markings. <br />

The Spring Azure is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in North America from Alaska and Canada south of the tundra, through most of the United States except the Texas coast, southern plain and peninsula Florida; south in the mountains to Colombia.
