  1. Wow - a flying snake, how cool! I have seen a number of flying lizards but never a flying snake! You seem to have a lot of images from Northern Bengal - is there a special place that you go? Posted 2 years ago
    1. North East India is just rich in bio diversity. I make a point to visit these places once a year.
      For Butterflies - Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam is must place to visit

''Chrysopelea ornata'' is a colubrid snake found in South and Southeast Asia. It is, along with the other species in its genus ''Chrysopelea'', very unusual in that it is capable of a type of gliding flight. It is also rear-fanged. Currently, three subspecies are recognized. The snake's striking looks and capability of gliding make it a popular choice for captivity.
