  1. Try comparing to Cassida rubiginosa. It is very similar to C. viridis, except that C. rubiginosa has sharp corners on the rear edges of the pronotum. Posted 7 years ago

The thistle tortoise beetle, "Cassida rubiginosa", is a tortoise beetle, and as such belongs to the leaf beetles. It has a green carapace.
