
Fork-tailed flycatcher, Uraba, Colombia
An unmistakable bird in the otherwise confusing army of flycatchers found in Colombia. This one was found in an agricultural field near the Cotton-top Tamarin Reserve in Uraba, Colombia. This clearly is the male of the species, based on its extremely lengthy tail. Here's a photo of a couple, where you can see the female looking almost identical, yet with a shorter tail:

The fork-tailed flycatcher is a passerine bird of the tyrant flycatcher family, and is the member of a genus typically referred to as kingbirds.
