This plant is possibly toxic. Although, some claim that it can be used medicinally. Personally, I don&#039;t think it&#039;s worth the risk, especially considering this plant is in the parsley family. Anyone foolish enough to mess around with plants in the parsley family are playing herbal roulette. "Zizia aurea" is a flowering perennial forb of the carrot family. It is hardy in USDA zones 4-9. It can be found from New Brunswick to Saskatchewan in Canada, south to Florida and Texas in the United States.
