American Robin with Breakfast
They are fairly large songbirds with a large, round body, long legs, and a long tail. They are gray-brown in color with orange underparts and dark heads. This robin, which had a beak full of scrambled earthworm, was having its breakfast in my yard. Robins can eat up to 14 feet of earthworms in a single day!

The American Robin is a migratory songbird of the thrush family. It is named after the European Robin because of its reddish-orange breast, though the two species are not closely related, with the European robin belonging to the flycatcher family.
