Madagascar, the green island On day 2 of our trip to Madagascar, we left the city of Tana and were on our way to our first wildlife destination: Andasibe. We stopped along the road for a small break and that is where we captured this landscape. Once upon a time, all of Madagascar looked like this, sadly, such a site is increasingly rare due to massive deforestation. Madagascar,Tana Click/tap to enlarge

  1. Nice green landscape, I thought this is the common landscape in Madagascar if I had to imagine it. Shame that it has disappeared a lot. Posted 12 years ago
    1. So true, most of it is gone already, at least alongside the main road of the country, which frankly is the only road. Still, I am hoping to share the beauty that remains in the coming weeks/months! Posted 12 years ago
  2. I am actually a bit ill at the moment, lots of bed time. Still enjoying your photo's people. Ferdy: looking forward to a lot more of Madagaskar! Looks like hard land to travel lightly.. Posted 12 years ago
    1. Take good care of yourself dude!

Much more of Madagascar to come, also far better ones. But I'm precise in sharing them in the order that I've taken them. It will take me several weeks to share the set.
