Arizona Lupine Unfortunately we did not get early winter rains and it doesn't look like we will be getting enough precipitation to bring out many desert wildflowers this year. There are a few spots that have produce sparse blooms and this is one of them. I might have to travel this spring to find some photo ops... ''Lupinus arizonicus'' is a flowering plant in the family Fabaceae, native to the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts, where it can be found growing in open places and sandy washes below 1,100 metres elevation. It is common around Joshua Tree National Park and Death Valley National Park in California.

It is an annual plant growing to 10–50 centimetres in height. The leaves are palmately compound with 6–10 leaflets, each leaflet 1–4 centimetres long and 5–10 millimetres broad, on a 2.5–7.. more
