We found this snake, which is at home in streams and on the forest floor, sleeping at night in vegetation about six feet off the ground.

Xenochrophis maculatus is a non-venomous snake found along small streams and peat or freshwater swamps. It feeds mainly on frogs. It is found in Borneo, Sumatra, and Peninsular Malaysia.
