High Key grass snake, the lightning made this picture look like a high key photo. The snake just came by swimming after I was taking some shots of another specimen, hence the correct lighting of the snake, but the white water with reflection.

  2. Hi Kurt, did you do a lot of postprocessing on this one for the reflection to be this white? I like it a lot btw, crisp head being full but not too full in colours, fading with desaturation. Great! Posted 12 years ago
  3. Hi Ludo, thanks! But no I didn't had to process that much, only the RAW sharpening and a bit of extra saturation on the head, but that's always necessary when you shoot in RAW. The white is actually overexposed water because of the sunlight falling in from the front. If I had the camera decide the exposure (which I never do ;)) it would have been a silhouette of the snake.
