False Coker's Lepidella

This large, white mushroom closely resembles Amanita cokeri, but has some key differences. It was very large (15-17cm tall), white, and had both large and small warts on the cap. Pinkish-brown staining on the bulb and peeling scales right above the bulb. White gills. Shaggy stem and a double ring.

Amanita expert Rod Tulloss has provisionally named Amanita subcokeri as a similar species to Amanita cokeri.
