Gilled Bolete An oxymoron mushroom - as its common name implies, this mushroom looks like bolete, but has gills. The cap was bright red, mostly flat, and smooth.  The gills were yellow, distant, and decurrent. The stipe was ribbed near the apex, reddish in color, and had yellow mycelium at the base. An oxymoron mushroom - as its common name implies, this mushroom looks like bolete, but has gills. The cap was bright red, mostly flat, and smooth. The gills were yellow, distant, and decurrent. The stipe was ribbed near the apex, reddish in color, and had yellow mycelium at the base.
