Bright orange, undulating cap. Cream-colored free gills with short gills present. Stipe was mostly cream-colored with a slight orange tint.

Marasmius strictipes is a fungi that grows in leaf litter. For a Marasmius, this species is uncharacteristically large, with a cap that reaches 7 cm across and a stem that can be as long as 9 cm.
