
Barred puffbird - II, Uraba, Colombia
I adore puffbirds, for their beautiful earth tones but also because they are great posers. Hard to find, but won't flee usually. They are low activity birds. You can think of them as flycatcher yet 100 times slower :)
On this photo you can see how top heavy they are, with their enormous head and bill compared to the rest of the body.

The barred puffbird is a species of puffbird in the Bucconidae family. It lives in forests in the Tumbes-Chocó-Magdalena of Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.
