Cercosaura vertebralis, Utria National Park, Colombia Identification based on our guide&#039;s judgement. Found in the mangroves of Utria National Park, which we traversed on foot. An often used synonym is Pholidobolus vertebralis. It&#039;s not entirely clear to me which of these two genuses to use. "Pholidobolus vertebralis", the brown pholiodobolus, is a species of lizard in the family Gymnophthalmidae. It is found in Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru.
