  1. This was such a fun encounter. I had been on site for a couple weeks and I was thinking of species I should have already run into, but hadn't. That attila was at the top of the list. Suddenly I look up, and there's on, perched on a branch in perfect view !
    I focused up my camera, but it took off just as a bit too soon. But, of course, it is a flycatcher, so I kept my camera focused on the same spot, and sure enough, it returned just a few seconds later, with the frog in its bill! I felt bad for the frog, but it was good to know the species occurred here!

The bright-rumped attila or polymorphic attila is a small passerine bird in the tyrant flycatcher family . It breeds from northwestern Mexico to western Ecuador, Bolivia and southeastern Brazil, and on Trinidad.
