  1. Like most quails, these are usually a devil to see, between their incredible camouflage and skulking habits. But, in the dry season, with the pretty open understorey, and the quite loud sounds they make while foraging in the dead leaves, they become a lot easier to track down! Posted 7 years ago

The singing quail is a species of bird in the family Odontophoridae. It is found in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
