  1. An amazingly friendly juvenile. We ran into him in the forest while we were with the monkeys. He actually dove after a prey and flew right next to one of us! The monkeys were napping so we got closer to him to get photos, and closer and closer... He just stayed perched were he was, in the end with two of us only about 3 meters from him. We eventually left him in the same spot! Posted 7 years ago

The double-toothed kite is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
