Orchid - Coelogyne asperata Quite large sized Orchid, newly bloomed. The stalk has more than 10 flowers/buds.<br />
When I first arrived at the Park, it was not blooming yet, just the buds, and before I left the Park a few days later, decided to take a look at it again (it was seen at the Botanical Garden inside the Park) and was happy to see them blooming.   2. Coelogyne asperata from Peninsular Malays, Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Philippines, New Guinea, Solomon Islands is quite a variable species. The flowers are short-lived, lasting usually for less than one week. Posted 6 years ago
