The green-backed sparrow is a species of bird in the Passerellidae family that is found in Belize, northern Guatemala, western Honduras and southern Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest.
