  Hi, looking at the bill, I'm fairly certain that's a warbler, not a goldfinch. I don't have access to my books right now, but maybe a female black-throated green warbler? Posted 7 years ago

    Correct- I had a field guide that incorrectly identified this as a lesser goldfinch. It is definitely a warbler- I saw some references to a pine warbler that were also very very similar. I love how knowledgable the community on here is! Thanks and have a great day.

      Ah yes! Mine was just a suggestion off the top of my head, but i think pine warbler is a better match. I also just read they are more likely to come to feeders than many other warbler species. I'll be home tomorrow and check my sibley bird guide, see if I can get you a definitive ID. Posted 7 years ago
