White-lined Sphinx Very fast flying moth that resembles a hummingbird. It's mostly drab olive and tan, except for a pink median band on the hindwing. Close to 4cm in size. Adults usually fly during the crepuscular and night hours of the day, but I saw this one midday during a solar eclipse. "Hyles lineata", also known as the white-lined sphinx, is a moth of the family Sphingidae. They are sometimes known as the hummingbird moth because of their bird-like size and flight patterns.
