    1. Just 1, the maximum of my macro lens. I had my tripod set up and the caterpillar was supposed to stay still so I could make some pictures with small aperture/long exposure time and also try the macro rings to get even closer.
      But the caterpillar kept walking so I had to adjust my plans and revert to using the flash to keep the exposure times short.
      I didn't expect it but the flash in combination with the mirror did give a nice effect with the black surrounding.

      1. I never use flash, but I must say the colour and effect on the picture are nice indeed! Tough thing Macro and moving objects. If they'd only listen:)
        The thing with the rings is the almost impossible depth of field, soo narrow. And soo close to the lens itself in my setup.
        I'll try using the flash in the near future. Nice.
