Huge Rhinoceros beetle on table, Montazuma, Colombia
This brings back memories. In the background is our notebook where after each day's long hike, we'd spent a good hour noting down the species the best we can. It's not as much fun as it sounds, but since it takes me months to share a full set, it's sorely needed. On this large outside table in Montezuma, as soon as the night falls, you are overwhelmed with a sea of insects attracted to the light. Including this super clumsy flier that keeps bumping into everything.
Ironically, I don't have a species name for this one.

Enema pan is a large scarab beetle in the Enema genus. It is found in Southern Mexico, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil.
