  1. Interesting case. Officially, our species system does not support hybrid species, but in this case a record was created anyway because Wikipedia has a "species-like" page for it, which usually isn't the case for a hybrid species.

    I'll leave it up for now, don't really have a policy for this.

    Mind you, it's a system limitation/choice, it's a valuable contribution.

Peppermint is a hybrid mint, a cross between watermint and spearmint. Indigenous to Europe and the Middle East, the plant is now widespread in cultivation in many regions of the world. It is occasionally found in the wild with its parent species.
