Mimic Phantom, Tatama National Park, Colombia
A spectacular species endemic to Colombia. I'm seeing only a handful of photos of this species online, probably because they typically hide in the undergrowth but also because this part of Colombia has not always been safe to visit.
Had I known how uncommon it is, I would have switched to macro. Many regrets :(

Pseudohaetera mimica, the Mimic Phantom, is a butterfly in the Pseudohaetera genus that is endemic to Colombia. It is found only in deeply shaded areas of forest. It occurs at elevations between about 1400-2000m.
