Superb leafwing, Tatama National Park, Colombia

Sorry, I normally avoid placing myself in the frame, yet this is the only somewhat usable shot we got of this rapidly flying species. Pink is an unusual color in butterflies (based on our experience) and the intensity of this one was mesmerizing. I wish we had a better shot of it.
