White-booted racket-tail (female), Tatama National Park, Colombia Unfortunately, we did not spot the male, which has the actual racket-tail. In most bird books this bird is called &quot;Booted racket-tail&quot;. As Wikipedia describes, the species has now been split into 3, this being the White-booted racket-tail. The white-booted racket-tail is a species of hummingbird. It is found in the Andean cordillera of Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. A population also occurs on the Venezuelan coast.
