Common Ligyra Bee Fly ( Ligyra satyrus ) When taking the photo I didn't notice the obvious liquid droplet on the left wing. I think that it is a droplet of a spittle bug tube and as the bee fly parasitises other species it might be that the fly had an tnterest in the possible spittle bug.
