Yellow Jewelweed
Yellow flowers with 5 petals, 3 sepals, and reproductive organs within the tubular corolla. Each fertilized flower is replaced by a seedpod that's up to 2" long. The seed pods have projectile seeds that explode out of the pods when they are lightly touched, hence the name 'touch-me-not'.

"Impatiens pallida" is a flowering plant native to Canada and the United States. It grows in moist to wet soils, generally alongside the closely related "Impatiens capensis", producing flowers from midsummer through fall.
