''Colomychus talis'', the distinguished colymychus moth, is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Grote in 1878. It is found in Mexico and the south-eastern United States, where it has been recorded from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia.

The wingspan is about 20 mm. The forewings are dark purplish-red with two yellow patches, as well as a small yellow spot in the antemedial area near the costa. The hindwings.. more
