Night life This photo was actually a mistake as I left the diffuser on my macro ring flash. However, I'm liking this accidental soft flash result, kind of like a painting. I'll use the shot as an ode to wildlife at night. Night tours are some of our favorite tours to do in the jungle. The ambience is incredible. The sounds, the suspense, life kickstarting into gear when we are at our weakest. 1. Do you have any other photos of the flower/plant? It could be Musa velutina which has flowers pointing upwards but with so many species and hybrids I am not sure which one it is.
Why did you disable the species ID?

''Musa velutina'', the hairy banana or pink banana, is a species of seeded banana. Its fruits are 3 in long, pink, and fuzzy. They are borne on erect flower stalks with a pink inflorescence. ''Musa velutina'' flowers at a young age, doing so within a year. The fruits peel back when ripe. It is often grown as an ornamental plant, but has soft, sweet flesh that can be eaten. The seeds are quite hard and can chip a tooth. To sow, first soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours. They should be planted.. more
