Paropsisterna interlita This distinctive striped beetle has some consistent dark marks in the series interstices of the elytra.  There are three marks on the pronotum, usually more strong than in this specimen.   It feeds on peppermint eucalyptus  There is only one record in Victoria to my knowledge.  It is allied with Paropsisterna trimaculata and P. insignita.  This speciemen was collected by Gunter Maywald and photographed by Geoff Walker. paropsisterna interlita is a beetle from the chrysomelida family of leaf eating beetles. This species, with its closely allied species group feed on peppermint eucalyptus and are sometimes quite common along the eastern ranges of Australia. This species ranges furthest north.
