  1. Hi Ernst, I cannot confirm the ID, due to lack of knowledge of this group, but I've created the species as requested, for you to decide. Cheers, Arp Posted 7 years ago
  2. Arb thank you. I am also absolutely no expert on grasshoppers . I will look into it in more detail befor I put on the species.
I compared a photo on the www. brisbaneinsects.com on family Acrididae. It looks to me the one but just not 100% sure.
    Thanks Ernst

Sorry for the late reply but had to travel 2000 km south which took time

        1. I don't understant what you are saying here. Are you suggesting a new ID for this photo - Coryphistes ruricola instead of Adreppus fallax?
Coryphistes ruricola is not mentioned in the link above. Do you think the specimen from the link is Coryphistes ruricola instead of Adreppus fallax?

Adreppus fallax Sjöstedt, 1921, the Common Adreppus or Stem Grasshopper is a grasshopper in the family Acrididae native to Australia. It's colours give it excellent camouflage on bark of trees, not unlike Coryphistes ruricola (Bark Mimicking Grasshopper), another common species from the same family.
