
Adreppus fallax Sjöstedt, 1921, the Common Adreppus or Stem Grasshopper is a grasshopper in the family Acrididae native to Australia. It's colours give it excellent camouflage on bark of trees, not unlike Coryphistes ruricola (Bark Mimicking Grasshopper), another common species from the same family.

I compared a photo on the www. brisbaneinsects.com on family Acrididae. It looks to me the one but just not 100% sure.

Coryphistes ruricola is not mentioned in the link above. Do you think the specimen from the link is Coryphistes ruricola instead of Adreppus fallax? Posted 7 years ago
